Language & Audience

The 911 Lady is a website written for adults. I’m a real person, and sometimes I swear, joke around, and talk about the heavy parts of emergency work. Some posts may cover difficult topics, including violence, sexual assault, suicide, death, and child abuse. This is the reality of public safety and emergency work. The Children’s Center is the one area made for kids, and I keep it kid-friendly. Everywhere else, use your own judgment. It’s up to parents to monitor what their children are looking at on the internet. If you’re a parent, that includes deciding whether or not you feel they can handle these topics or freely browse this site.

I do aim to speak in a factual and professional manner around sensitive topics, but if you don’t want to view it or don’t allow your children to, it’s your responsibility to move on. I will have no hard feelings. If you don’t agree with that, this site may not be for you.

Comments & Community

This site is my house. Comments are welcome, and I love hearing from you, but they are moderated. I reserve the right to edit, hide, or remove any comment, and to block anyone from commenting, at any time, for any reason, without notice.

That includes comments that are offensive, hateful, harassing, threatening, spammy, or off-topic, or that share someone else’s private information. It also includes details from active calls, cases, or investigations. Protect your callers, your agency, and yourself.

Limitation of Liability

Use of this website and its content is at your own discretion. To the extent permitted by law, The 911 Lady and its owner are not responsible for losses or damages resulting from reliance on information provided through this website or from the use of third-party resources linked from it.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated as the website grows, new services or resources are added, or legal and operational requirements change. The date at the top of this page will indicate the most recent update.
